-My parents came up for General Conference weekend and it was awesome! I'm so glad I appreciate my parents and General Conference more now that I'm older. I got to see a bunch of friends from home too, so that was amazing.
-It's starting to get cold. Yesterday was the coldest day I've experienced since...well, last time I was in Utah.
-I got to talk to my good friend Emilie who is in the Air Force. We've been buddies since our kindergarten days...it's good to keep in touch with friends like her.
-I finally met my roommate's friends that she always talks about. They're freshman boys so it's kind of fun to have boys to hang out with no pressure.
-BYU has been doing really well this year in football, but we'll see just how long we stay in the top 10...
Don't be fooled...this picture is from an older football game. It was definitely NOT this sunny and warm yesterday. That's Kadi on the left, TyRee, Kayley, and me.

-I've kind of been slacking on getting my articles done. It's been harder to summon the energy necessary to do them, but I have to keep going so it makes for a less productive combination of pushing myself but holding back at the same time. By the way, if anyone's actually interested in reading them, you can just google "Abigail Rich" and it should be the first thing that pops up.
-Kellie came down Thursday and stayed at my apartment. We went out for ice cream and talked. We also had a girl's night with Jamie and Allison last weekend. It was just like old times :)
-It's my roommate's birthday today so we're having roommate dinner. Finally-we've been meaning to do that since school started, but it's hard to find a time when we're all at home during dinner time.
-I gave my first speech in my public speaking class, which was impromptu. Our teacher gave us an outline for how to create impromptu speeches and gave us a little book with 6 quotes on a bunch of different subjects. One of the students in the class then chose a topic and we had a minute to prepare according to the outline and then give a 3-4 minute speech. It was nerve-racking but not as bad as I was expecting. I can't really remember what I said so I'm not sure it made sense, but my class said I looked very composed and happy to be up there..haha.

It's true--freshmen boys are a lot of fun.
Thanks for the good update, Abigail! How brave of you to take a public speaking class!
I want to hear all about your corn maze weekend! oh and what you did your speech on? was miley cirus a hit?
Fun update. I couldn't get my google search to bring up any articles, but I didn't look too far past the 1st page of search results.
