Skylee's Help
Earlier today I was thinking about something my 3-year-old niece did this summer. Carly, Evan, Audra, and I were visiting my parents the weekend my dad was sustained as stake president. My sister, Katy, and her family were visiting too. After stake conference, we were sitting outside on the porch eating some sort of dessert. I can't remember what the dessert was, except that it included ice cream. I was on the porch swing when Skylee came over to sit next to me and lean on my lap. Something happened and she dropped her dessert on my jean shorts. I instinctively gasped and let out my frustration. I wasn't mad at Skylee but I'm sure she thought I was. She ran inside and I went after her to make sure she didn't feel bad. She found me first-with a big wad of tissue in her little fist, and came over to clean the mess off my pants. Her thoughtfulness touched me, even though she is only 3 years old. She taught me a lesson, too, about patience and love and thinking of others.

I remember that, what a sweetie!
Thanks for sharing that story, Abby!
